Getting Ready for Launch
By Rockbottoms Promotions, Sunday, 1 February 2026
Months before the first note gets played, there's a mountain of work that goes into making Redditch Revival happen. We wanted to pull back the curtain and give you a glimpse of what it takes to build something like this from scratch.
It starts with the acts. We're not interested in tribute bands or karaoke singers - we want genuine, professional singer-songwriters who've written hits, toured the world, and played stages most people only dream about. The kind of artists who can walk into a room of forty people and make every single one of them feel like they're getting a private show. Finding those artists, convincing them that a Tuesday or Wednesday night in Redditch is worth their time - that's the first challenge. And honestly, once they hear what we're building, most of them are buzzing to be part of it.
Then there's the venue. The Hart isn't just any room. It's got character, warmth, and the kind of acoustics that make a lone voice and a guitar sound absolutely stunning. But getting it ready for Revival nights means thinking about every detail - the lighting, the sound setup, the layout of the room so that every seat feels like the best seat in the house. We've spent hours in there testing microphone positions, adjusting speaker angles, and making sure the bar service runs smooth enough that nobody misses a second of the performance.
We've also had to think carefully about capacity. Forty people maximum. That's deliberate. We could probably squeeze more in, but Revival isn't about packing a room - it's about creating an atmosphere. When you're sat three metres from a singer-songwriter who's pouring their heart out, you don't want to be fighting for elbow room. You want space to breathe, to listen, to feel it properly.
The lineup has been the most exciting part. We've been on the phone to managers, agents, and artists themselves - building a calendar of performers that would make venues ten times our size jealous. Names that people know and love, mixed with rising talent that deserves a proper platform. Every act is handpicked. Every night is curated. Nothing is filler.
Behind the scenes, there's been branding to sort, tickets to set up, social media to build, and a website to launch. We've designed the phoenix logo to represent exactly what Revival is about - something rising, something bold, something that belongs to Redditch.
We're nearly there now. The acts are confirmed. The venue is ready. The tickets are about to go live. All that's left is for you to be there when the lights go down and the music starts. This is going to be special. We can feel it.
