Proud to Be Supporting the Palace Drum Clinic

We are absolutely chuffed to be supporting the Palace Drum Clinic.
## A Redditch Gem with a Global Reputation
If you've not yet come across the Palace Drum Clinic, sometimes known as the PDC, you're in for a treat. Tucked away in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre on Evesham Walk, this little corner of Redditch is quietly building one of the most respected drumming communities in the country.
The PDC was born back in 2017 out of the legendary UK National Drum Fair, which ran from 2002 right through to 2015. Rather than letting all that knowledge and connection fade away, the team decided to keep the spirit alive by creating something permanent for the local drumming community.
What started as a monthly clinic at the Palace Theatre has grown into something pretty special. They have produced PDClinics, an annual three day PDCamp, an intensive drumming camp for all abilities, and the brilliant PDC Young Drummer Competition that gives local kids a proper platform to shine. And the latest project, the PDC App, a free learning tool for all from world class drummers.
## World Class Talent, Right Here on Our Doorstep
Here's the thing that makes the PDC genuinely remarkable. The list of drummers they've brought to Redditch reads like a who's who of the global drumming scene. We're talking Carl Palmer from Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Todd Sucherman from Styx. Mike Sleath who tours the world with Shawn Mendes. Spike T Smith from Sham 69 and The Damned. Ian Matthews from Kasabian. Russell Gilbrook of Uriah Heep. Also the PDC's Patron, Bev Bevan.
These are the people that drummers across the planet look up to. And the PDC has been quietly bringing them to a venue ten minutes from your front door. That's the kind of thing that makes you stop and realise just how special Redditch can be when the right people are at the helm.
## It's Not Just About the Big Names
What really got under our skin is the work the PDC does that doesn't always make the headlines. They're a registered charity, and their mission is beautifully simple. They exist to advance music education and appreciation across the West Midlands and beyond.
That means workshops in schools and the community. Drum kit lessons. Samba and African workshops. Hands on, energetic, joyful experiences that get everyone playing, listening and creating together. Online content like the PDChatshow and PDConversations that's reached drummers all over the world. And they're properly backed by Arts Council England, which tells you everything you need to know about the quality of what they deliver.
In a world where music in schools is constantly under threat, the PDC is doing the work that matters. They're putting sticks in young hands. They're showing local kids what's possible. They're keeping live music education alive in our community, and they're doing it with a grin on their faces.

## Why This Partnership Feels So Right
Redditch Revival exists because we believe local music matters. We believe that nostalgia, community spirit and live performance still have the power to bring people together in a way nothing else can. When you stand in a room full of people singing along to songs that shaped their lives, there's a kind of magic in the air that you just don't get anywhere else.
The Palace Drum Clinic believes in that same magic. They believe that people in Redditch deserve the chance to be inspired by the best drummers in the world. They believe music belongs to everyone, not just the lucky few. And they believe that this town, our town, deserves to be a place where incredible things happen.
That's why we're so proud to throw our weight behind them for our first ever Revival night.
## How You Can Be Part of It
First things first, our opening night with Nigel Clark of Dodgy is officially sold out, and we couldn't be more delighted that it sold out the day after tickets went on sale to the public. A massive thank you to every single person who grabbed a ticket. You've helped us prove that there's a proper appetite for live music in Redditch, and you've made our first Revival night one to remember before a single note has even been played.
Here's where you can really help us make a difference. On the night itself, there will be donation buckets dotted around the venue. Every penny raised goes directly to the Palace Drum Clinic.
That means workshops in local schools. Lessons for kids who might never otherwise get the chance. World class drummers coming to inspire the talent of tomorrow, right here on our doorstep.
So bring a bit of spare cash, get stuck into the raffle, and help us turn a brilliant night of music into something that keeps giving back to Redditch long after the last song has been sung.
That's a pretty lovely thought, isn't it?
